Volunteers Sought for 2015 GBAR Committees
As the fourth quarter approaches, 2014 will begin to wind down . At GBAR, this means preparing for the coming year. One of the most valuable tools that GBAR has are its committees. Members that volunteer their time, help the organization find solutions to issues, create new programs, and offer a real life perspective on decisions impacting the real estate industry. Taking an active role in the association allows you to be part of the decision-making process, is a great networking opportunity, and allows you to give back to the profession. For example, the Community Service Committee meets every year to select organizations to receive monetary grants from the GBREB Foundation. The Professional Standards and Grievance Committees help to address Ethics and Arbitration complaints and resolve transaction disputes in a cost-efficient manner. The Education and Business Development Committee have been working all year to plan the GBAR Roadshow coming up on October 16. There are so many different ways to be involved and really make an impact. I invite you to submit an application, whether you have served before or are a first time volunteer to committees, and help us create a better.
